Search Engine Optimisation has never been an exact science but the basic principles remain the same.   • Label all images with relevent alt tags
  • Place your keywords in Keywords, Description and page title
  • Use your keywords within H1 and H2 Heading tags
  • Repeat your keywords in your body copy
  • When including internal links use keywords within the link
  • Make sure your keywords appear in other areas of your site
  • If possible place links to external sites that rank high for your keywords
  • include a sitemap for spiders to read
  • Place your relevent content towards the top of the page code
  • Do not use 'black hat' techniques such as invisible text

Once all of these basic elements are in place you can start to analyse your results and fine tune your page optimisation as necessary.
